In operation since 1985, Miracle Flights for Kids has grown into one of the most important charitable health and welfare flight organizations in the country. They have thus far provided more than 100,000 flights to sick children and their families, covering more than 55 million miles. That means a lot of families who have received the treatment they needed for their children, regardless of where in the United States the healthcare they needed was located. No child who needs treatment for a life-altering or life threatening illness should ever be denied access to the treatment they need because their family can’t afford the high cost of airline travel.
The people who volunteer and work with Miracle Flights for Kids are often called Miracle Makers because that’s how they come across to the people they help. The organization exists for one single purpose; they want to make sure children who need specialized medical care and other life-supporting options, reach the help they need.
Miracle Flights for Kids has won a number of awards for their services, as a top-rated non-profit, in addition to numerous as humanitarian awards and lifetime achievement awards.
